The Little Things

Happy Thursday! The feels like is -25 this morning as we’re getting the Siberian blast of air. Is anyone else getting this blast of cold air? Here’s what I’m thankful for right now:

I’m thankful for new running shoes! I actually got my new pair of Brooks for Christmas, but just pulled them out this past week, and they felt AMAZING! There’s something fantastic about those first miles in a new pair of shoes that haven’t been too broken down. Plus, my shoes are hot pink- could that be any better?

I’m thankful for inspiring and encouraging conversations with co-workers. I’ve been lucky at my current job, because I’ve always had a few co-workers there that I trust and can have deep, meaningful conversation with. I’m thankful I have a place to not only process my own personal life, but also a place to get valuable information and encouragement through the consultation process. I’m lucky.

I’m thankful for space to breathe and “be” this past weekend. My weeks are packed with so many things to get done, but this weekend, while I was still productive and needed to get things done, still provided time to just be. There was no franticness over the weekend, and I was able to focus on breathing and enjoying the tasks of daily living.

I’m thankful for heat!

What’re you feeling thankful for today?

  1. Yeah… I am SO SICK of the cold. It’s like weather consistently in the 20s would be nice at this point. 30s would be amazing haha! It’s supposed to be in the high 40s on Sunday and I can’t wait! I’m definitely thankful for our heat!

Brr! It’s super cold here too, -2 with a -20 wind chill 🙁 I’m ready for warmer weather. Or at least 30 degree weather!

I also wear Brooks! Nothing quite like breaking in a new pair.

Good co-workers really do matter. I’m sad that I’ll be leaving mine, but glad that I’ll still be working with them in some capacity even after I move.

That’s what it is here too. VERY chilly, but I’m enjoying lots of hot beverages in my office! I’m glad you’ll be able to stay connected with your co-workers even after you move! I hope that’ll be helpful.
