Nail polish at the statue of liberty. I didn’t intend to line it up like I was holding it- just a happy coincidence 🙂 The gel has held up really well, and I’m almost at three weeks with only a bit of a grow out line. The color itself is a great neutral pink, which makes it easy to match with most things.
Here are some random facts for you this week:
1. I’ve been in New York City this past, and arrived home today. I’ve absolutely loved being in the city, and have had some pretty amazing experiences while there. I can’t wait to share a bit about it next week!

2. I bring my kindle most places with me. That way if a client is running late or I get stuck waiting somewhere longer than expected, I can get some reading done! I feel a little nerdy carrying it with me, but it’s definitely causing me to read more, so I don’t mind 🙂
3. Let’s talk about rain for a minute. Has it been raining a lot where you live? It’s been raining a ridiculous amount here this summer, and it’s become absolutely destructive. We got 13 inches of rain in June and it’s rained a good percentage of days in July as well, so we just have these huge standing ponds of flooding all over the place. The drains on some of the streets aren’t even working anymore, so streets are flooded, and of course the crops around here are being drowned as well. I wish we could send some of the water out to California and other areas with droughts!
4. Sticky Rice. Have you ever had it? If not, head down to your local Thai restaurant and get some for yourself (it’s a dessert- make sure you get it with mango on top!)! There’s a cute little Thai place right next to the hotel I stayed at and I got sticky rice every night on my way home. Delicious!
5. I finally got to try Shake Shack! I’ve heard so much about it over the last year, and I was so happy to randomly stumble upon it one day at lunch time! It’s delicious!
Now it’s your turn to share! What is one random fact from your week? Have you ever had sticky rice before?
I have never been to NY cannot wait to read all about it.
