Happy Friday! This week for nail polish I went with OPI’s Strawberry Margarita gel polish. I wanted something bright and cheery for the month of July without being over the top, and this is what stood out to me:

Here are some random facts for you this Friday:

1. I REALLY enjoy going to the dentist, and I’m totally baffled as to why people don’t like their dentists. I guess I’m lucky in that I have a really friendly dentist who doesn’t nag excessively about flossing 🙂

2. I’m planning to share a post about the book Truest each week until it comes out at the end of summer! Here are 9 surprising facts you didn’t know about Truest.

3. I just finished reading the “Matched” series (technically I listened to them on audiobook), and I feel really torn about the series. I love the dystopian series that are so popular right now, but this one was just a little too boring for me. At least it got me through the over 24 hours of driving I did in a week’s time span!

4. When I was at my cousin’s house I took advantage of her hammock for some quality reading time. Seriously- how comfortable does this look?

5. I returned home from my trip to a living room and kitchen stacked with boxes, and immediately wanted to shut the door and walk away again. I’m in the process of doing a HUGE clean out of my place, and unfortunately that means things get worse before they get better. I prefer to leave for vacation with my house being clean and organized so I come back to happiness instead of… what I walked in on. Yikes!

6. I got my tattoo a year ago today!! I can’t believe it’s been a year since I sat in that chair, shaking violently, and paid for someone to permanently ink me. I have a post planned next week about this, so stay tunned!

Now it’s your turn to share! Do you try to clean your house before you go on vacation? Where’s your ideal reading place?

  1. I always clean my house before leaving for vacation. There is just something nice about coming home to a clean house.

I can’t wait to hear about your tattoo experience. I’ve been contemplating for a long time, but have yet to commit!

You might be the only person I know who actually enjoys going to the dentist. 🙂

I agree- coming home to a clean house is such a wonderful feeling 🙂 I have a video of me getting my tattoo (I didn’t post it on the blog though) so that’s funny to go back and watch. I would absolutely get another one though! I know most people don’t enjoy the dentist, but if everyone had the dentist I did, I think they would. After my appointment we stood and talked for half an hour. He’s such a nice guy and isn’t one of those mean and nagging dentists where you can’t do anything right 🙂

I haven’t been to the DENTIST in years – gah!!!! August – I MUST DO EVERYTHING, a teeth cleaning, get back into pilates, etc! HA HA! THANK YOU for motivating me!

  3. I love backyard hammocks.
