The Little Things

Week 2 of 2013 (does anyone else feel that January is flying by at an uncontrollable speed?)! Again, I’m still just maintaining and continuing to move and try to let me nasty IT band rest as much as I can. Half marathon training may just be coming up soon, so like I said, rest and maintenance is the name of my game. Here’s what the week looked like:

Total Miles: 2.6 mi run + 17.85 mi walk = 20.45 miles + 2:00 planks

The weather started out really chilly the first part of the week. I was walking in my thick winter coat and long underwear. By the end of the week it was in the low 60s and I was in a tank top and my running skirt. Crazy weather, but it definitely made being outside a lot more fun!

    I also am battling ITBS and after much trial and error I am getting back on the road. It is great to see others attempting to defeat the beast as well. Best of luck.

  3. Way to go!!! Walking is such an enjoyable, beneficial workout! I think it’s often overlooked.

    I did the same thing! Started jogging in tights and jackets and gloves, and on Saturday I was in a t-shirt and shorts! Crazy Chicago weather….

    The weather here in southern California has been unseasonably cold, although it has been a nice change. I don’t have a favorite workout outfit, but I love my yoga pants! So comfortable! I wear them probably more than I should

  5. How do you find the time for all those walks? I feel like I’d love to walk that many miles every week, but fitting it in my schedule… woof.

      That’s a great question. I’m wondering if I should write an entire post on that, because it’s become a well groomed process… I’ll plan on writing that this coming week!
